Men at work!

Unless the Lord builds the house the builders labour in vain.’ Psalm 127:1

Work continues apace with the church building project.  Hugh J O’Boyle, Conservation building contractors, are progressing well with the restoration work to the main church which is nearly completed.  The work carried out included repair and replacement of defective stonework, new storm glazing, repairs to the roof and replacement of cast iron gutters and downpipes.

The Property Development Group (PDG) have been working with the architect, Hall Black Douglas, on a new proposal to develop the spaces and facilities required to create a space that enables us to be God’s intergenerational family.  This new proposal has been agreed in principle by Committee and Kirk Session and the PDG hope so share this with the congregation at an information session after the morning service on Sunday 3rd March. Drawings will also be displayed in the crush hall each Sunday for the next few weeks.

Personal donations form a substantial proportion of our overall funding for the project. If you would like to give to the project you can do so by setting up a monthly standing order (please contact Stephen Curragh or Church Office) or by making a donation by way of the striped envelopes marked ‘Building Fund’.

The Property Development Group would like to thank everyone who has fed into the project to date. We are keen to ensure everyone has an opportunity for input and to hear from as many users as possible. If you have any comments please submit these using the online form or simply talk to any member of the group directly.
