Plans

On the King’s Road

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain. Psalm 127:1

Following recent approval by Kirk Session, Congregational Committee and the congregation, we are completing the submission for our planning application to redevelop the church halls.

The project involves all the buildings, apart from the main sanctuary, and includes a mixture of refurbishment, demolition and new build.

Images of the proposed plans are shown below but in brief the intention is to:

Refurbish – the Kairos Centre and Burrows Hall, and reconfigure the Church Office and music room.

Demolish and new build – the Crush Hall, Elliott Hall, kitchen and Bell Hall

Reconfigure – the car park and external spaces.

The vision is to ‘create an inviting space, welcoming to all, where God’s love is shared.’

The building project will create a modern and sustainable suite of buildings that will enable present and future generations to experience and witness to the joy of the gospel at Knock. As well as visibly welcoming spaces that reach out and draw people in from across the community to experience kingdom living. Click here for further information on how to donate.

Funding strategy

The work is estimated at £3.4 million, with £740,000 raised (as at 31.12.20). We are thankful to God for his provision and to all of those who have contributed. As we enter the important next phase of the project we are keen to increase the number of committed donors. We would ask that you prayerfully consider a regular donation to the building project – On the King’s Road.
