Christianity Explored

At Knock, we desire for others to know the love and acceptance of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that despite our rebelliousness, God reconciled His people to Him through the life, death and resurrection of His Son and, through that sacrifice, people can come to a personal and saving knowledge of the Creator God. If you knew of such a great gift being freely available, would you not want to tell others about it?

We have found that one of the best ways for people to discover Jesus for themselves is through reading the Bible. For a number of years, we have used a course called Christianity Explored as a means for helping people to do just this. The course runs for eights weeks, with a group of facilitators and participants (often a mix of believers looking for a chance to refresh their faith and those who are exploring Christianity for the first time) meeting for a couple of hours one evening a week.

Discipleship Explored

The course, which we have run both on-site and in coffee shops in the area, covers Mark’s Gospel (the shortest of the four Gospels!) and provides opportunities for watching a DVD, discussion in small groups and quiet reflection. If you would be interested, please contact the Church Office for more details.

As a follow-up, we often run Discipleship Explored, for those who would be interested in taking the next step in a journey of faith. Alongside these courses, we run a number of one-off events such as musical evenings, talks, sporting quizzes throughout the years. Ideas for other events, as well as participants for those we have already scheduled, are always welcome!
