Mission Teams

Youth Team Uganda

As part of supporting our church partners we run mission team to strengthen our relationships with partner churches in Uganda and Strand.

  • Youth mission teams provide opportunity for a two-way of sharing faith between the materially affluent and the needy.
  • Youth mission teams raises local spirits and provide real opportunities for building relationships
  • Youth mission teams demonstrate the importance of social action and long-term mission focus.
  • Youth mission teams give people the opportunity to take a real vacation! The kind where they learn something that changes them forever
  • Youth Mission teams provide young people with exposure to mission, with the aim of developing a heart for mission and service in each participant.
  • It is an essential part of our Youth and Children’s Strategy.  Due to the time required to plan mission trips, recruit a team, and fundraise, we seek to organise one every two years.

Jamboree

Jamboree

Jamboree is a hands on morning full of fun, stories and activities all with Jesus at the heart! It has a relaxed and informal atmosphere and is a great opportunity for all ages to come together to learn more about the Bible through craft, games, activities and praise. What happens at Jamboree? The first hour consists of a range of activities and crafts that children and others can move around and take part in.

These are based around the story or theme of the morning. Tea, coffee and treats are available for those who wish to chat and catch up! After an hour, we come together for some songs and a story from the Bible. It’s then time for food! We all eat lunch together and this is a great time to enjoy being with new and old friends. Jamboree happens once or twice a term and is a great place to invite friends to.
