- Closeness to God.
Nothing is more vital than our ongoing relationship with God. Through attending events such as the Irish Women’s Convention in October, we want to encourage one another to be grounded in God’s word, depend on him through prayer and consider what it means to be a godly 21st century woman, who is growing in her love for and devotion to God.
- Community with one another.
We were never meant to go it alone in the Christian life. God has blessed us here at Knock with a wonderful church family, but it takes time to develop relationships. We run a variety of fun, social events as an opportunity to get to know one another. Past events have included a visit to Eden pottery, cinema, Girls’ nights in, and a shopping trip to the Kildare outlet centre.
- Connecting with our non-Christian friends
God brings into our lives people who do not yet know him and we want to try to introduce them to the Christian gospel. Every year we run a Christmas evening at the beginning of December, with stalls, music, food and a short talk about Jesus. In the springtime we have a women’s breakfast, with a speaker sharing about how her Christian faith has impacted her life. We always end our year with a Christianity Explored course for women.
