Where is church in lockdown?

.

Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:3-4

As well as loving God during this time, we, as a church community want to love our neighbours and community as well so we are not meeting. All activities, programmes and services are currently cancelled.

But that does not mean there is no church. Our church is scattered, serving in our jobs and homes and neighbourhoods.

And although we are scattered we still want to gather in our own homes in worship, and in whatever ways we can in community.

You’re invited to take part in any of these things and can be kept up to date by signing up to our mailing list.

Sunday Worship

Worshipping God is central to who we are and what we do, so each week we provide resources so that we can all continue that in our homes. There are readings, prayers, songs and teaching, along with age appropriate material for children and teens.

Here’s what we do each Sunday…

Look up.

We start by letting the Bible lift our eyes off of all that is going on around us to look at God and remember who he is, and this helps us pray and sing.

Look down.

We then look down at the path we’ve walked in the past week and say sorry to God and ask for forgiveness for how we’ve lived against him.

Look in.

We open up the Bible and listen to what God has to say to us to remind us, encourage us, challenge us and change us.

Look out.

We then look out to the world around us and pray for it as well as praying that we might live the way God wants us to in order to bless the world.

You can access our archive of Sunday teaching here

Keeping community

We might be stuck in our own houses but we try and keep community by zooming in for coffee each Sunday morning. We move around breakout rooms catching up with old friends and making new ones. You’ll need to be signed up to our mailing list

Praying together

Each Wednesday we take time to sing and pray together for each other, our community and the world.

Lighthouse

Lighthouse is our programme for children from pre-school – P7. Each Sunday we send out resources to do at home (they’re available on the website too) and each Wednesday we send out a short video as a reminder of what we’ve been learning.
