How can I help in lockdown?
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
It’s been so encouraging and moving to see so many people across our community, city and country helping others during this lockdown. If you are looking for other ways you can be involved then do consider being part of our community care or contributing to Storehouse, a food poverty charity helping to provide essential groceries to those in need.
In order to volunteer—you must be under 70 years of age, in good health and showing no coronavirus symptoms. Those who are caring for others who are shielding or in the vulnerable group should not volunteer.
If you would like to be part of the ‘Knock Churches’ Community Care’ initiative please email your name, address and phone number to the coordinator
Storehouse is able to provide food parcels to individuals and families, with each food parcel containing enough food to last for 3-4 days.
All of the food given away by Storehouse is donated by individuals throughout Belfast. If you would like to donate food items, please buy a few items off the list below, and leave it at one of the drop points.
