Dear Church Family,

Before we come to any information about programmes, we go God’s word to remind us of what he calls us to as his people in fearful times such as these. He calls us to run to him as our refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 46), to trust him that we are his and that nothing can separate us from his love (Romans 8:35-39) and because of that we can be people who more than ever in these moments can look to the interests of others above ourselves and love our neighbours (Philippians 2:3-4)

As the situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to develop, we have carefully considered the best way forward to continue meeting while also ensuring that we protect the most vulnerable people within our church family.

Church Organisations

With immediate effect, all of our church organisations, programmes and ministry events will be suspended until further notice.  We will continually review this, in line with both government and Public Health Authority advice.

Church Service

As a covenant community, gathered worship as a church family is at the heart of who we are as we sing, pray, read, learn and respond to God together. However the most recent public health advice (including avoiding non-essential social contact and unnecessary travel) in the light of our call to love our neighbour has caused us to make the difficult decision to suspend Sunday services until further notice. We appreciate that these will be difficult decisions to live with, indeed they were decisions made with a heavy heart, however we are endeavouring be wise and loving in them.

We will be providing worship resources via this email in the weeks to come and encourage you to use them to worship at home.

AGM and Powerhouse

The AGM has been postponed until further notice. Powerhouse will not take place this week and will not resume until further notice.  Instead, we will be emailing points for prayer and ask that those who can to take time to pray at home at 8pm on Wednesday.

Church Office

The church office will be closed to visitors for the time being. Staff can be contacted via phone or email.

Pastoral Care

The current climate means that we need to review our pastoral care to limit the possibility of transmitting COVID-19.  Pastoral contact will be made initially via phone, with visitation in particular and specific circumstances. David and Dave will use their discretion in each situation. We appreciate your understanding in this. David and Dave’s contact numbers are as follows:

David Moore – 07707028312
Dave Currie – 07835244008

Our COVID-19 Action Group met on Sunday night to consider the most immediate concerns for our church family.  We are continuing to review how we provide resources and pastoral care and live out our call to care for the wider community and will provide further information on this by the end of the week.

**We will need your help in this so do be praying about how you can be part of our worship and pastoral care plans as we communicate them to you.**

We encourage you to continue to pray for each other, our church leadership, our government and the situation as a whole

Please email any queries to the church office.

Grace and peace
