Helen’s report from the Uganda Youth Team on Friday. Team have been away a week, back in 11 days. David Moore and Moore Casement are now on their way home. Helen writes:

Too busy with David and Moores’ leaving do to msg last night Off to meet Batwa this morning – D & M joining us before they head home after lunch. We will really miss them – been great to have them with us. However no space for being glum – having finished sesame on a high yesterday we head to centenary school at 3pm for our first session there. Expecting 200! Day off tomorrow which is much needed – Was lovely to hear third hand yesterday what a great reputation Knock teams have for getting on with things and being v friendly. More later.

So – another fab day and lots of thankful prayers tonight for a great first week. Visited the Batwa people – important and led to good chats. We said goodbye to two team members and hello to a new one – Gerald the giraffe – a puppet Nicky introduced on our first day at centenary primary school. He went down so well that little children on their way home past the guest house shouted ‘where’s Gerald?’. The club was great – lots of questions about the whereabouts of former team members – in particular Paul Brown. Everyone tired and looking forward to a lie in tomorrow. Though that hasn’t stopped the team staying up to play ‘jungle speed’…….
